In cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy and SCZONE, two integrated renewable energy project agreements worth more than $1.8 billion have been signed.
The first project will be developed by the Norwegian company Scatec to establish a large-scale solar power and energy storage project, known as the Valley for Sustainable Energy (Energy Valley), in Minya Governorate.
The second project will be developed by the Chinese company Sungrow and involves establishing a battery energy storage manufacturing plant in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE). Part of the factory’s production will be dedicated to supplying the solar project in Minya.
