Egypt’s trade deficit drops to $3.42 Billion in April 2025

According to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), Egypt’s trade deficit reached USD 3.42 billion, marking a 9.5% decrease compared to USD 3.78 billion in the same month last year.

CAPMAS also revealed that Egypt’s exports increased to USD 4.10 billion in April 2025, reflecting a 19.8% rise compared to USD 3.43 billion in April 2024.

This positive trend is mainly driven by higher export values in several key sectors, including petroleum, ready-made garments, and fertilizers.
