Information webinar on business travel: Sustainable decarbonization technologies for industry in Egypt

Egypt is one of Africa's largest industrial and energy markets and is facing significant pressure to transform, particularly in the CO₂-intensive steel, cement, and fertilizer industries. The government is pursuing ambitious decarbonization and hydrogen strategies and investing heavily in renewable energies and infrastructure for green hydrogen and ammonia. This is creating concrete opportunities for German companies: high demand for efficient production facilities, CO₂ reduction and CCUS technologies, hydrogen and power-to-X solutions, and engineering and consulting services.

Against this backdrop, the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Egypt), in cooperation with RENAC AG, is hosting an informational webinar on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. German time, which will focus specifically on the decarbonization landscape in Egypt. The webinar is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) (Export Initiative Energy) and is being held as part of the “energy solutions – Made in Germany” program.

This webinar serves in particular to prepare for a business trip to Egypt in June 2026: It gives German companies a compact and exclusive insight into current market opportunities and decarbonization initiatives on site, enabling them to better understand the focus of the trip and consider how they would like to position their technologies.
