The IMF has raised its growth forecasts for Egypt for the coming years. According to its latest projections, Egypt’s real GDP is now expected to grow by about 4.7% in the 2025/26 fiscal year, before accelerating to around 5.4% in 2026/27. Egypt, outlined the country’s economic reform progress to the IMF delegation. GDP growth reached 5.3% in the first quarter of FY 2025/26, exceeding expectations, and the IMF mission reached a staff level agreement with Egypt on reviews under the EFF and RSF facilities.
