On 12th April 2025, H.E. Kamel El Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport has announced that they are establishing two integrated cities for textile industries in Minya and Fayoum, on an area of 5.5 million square meters each to attract investments at $3 billion (2,77 billion Euro)
