Bavaria and Israel are powerful and reliable economic partners. The impressive trade balance – in relation to the size and the geographical distance of Israel – is a vivid sign for this close relationship.
With a trade volume of 1.13 billion euros in 2021, Israel was among Bavaria’s 50 most important trading partners and therefore one of the most important trading partners in the Middle East. Israel is an important sales market for the Bavarian economy and, at the same time, an essential procurement market. There are also significant imports of technology services from Israel.
The fact that an increasing number of global players, like Siemens, BMW, MunichRe, KnorrBremse, EOS, Rohde & Schwarz and Brainlab, are now investing in Israel and sending innovation scouts indicates Israel’s importance.
The Bavarian representative office in Tel Aviv pursues the objective of synchronizing the ecosystems of Bavaria and Israel even more and, above all, of helping small and medium-sized businesses in Bavaria to gain a foothold in Israel and to use the business hub of Tel Aviv together as a stepping stone for other national markets.
